Be seen, be safe! On our busy road network a very important mantra to follow. A good set of lights and reflective clothing should give drivers plenty of warning of your presence. To reinforce that, a good mirror allows you to keep an eye on approaching traffic and make sure they have seen you! Your bike could also be in danger, if you don't use a good lock to keep it secure when it's out of your sight.
